چکیده

Chemical absorption of CO2 into aqueous amine solutions using a nonstirred bubble column was experimentally investigated. The performance four different primary and secondary amines including monoethanolamine (MEA), piperazine (PZ), 2-piperidineethanol (2PE), homopiperazine (HPZ) were compared. effects initial concentration amine, the inlet mole fraction CO2, solution temperature on rate loading (mol CO2/mol amine) studied in range 0.02-1 M, 0.10-0.15, 25-40 °C, respectively. effect presence copper ions also studied. By comparison breakthrough curves at operational conditions, it revealed that shortest longest time for appearance point observed MEA HPZ solutions, MEA, 2PE, PZ, 25 0.2 M 0.15 1.06, 1.14, 1.13, 1.18 mol decreasing from to 0.10, slightly decreased. As decreased, increased. Also, absorbent resulted decrease solutions. In case PZ 2PE amines, adding led precipitation even low ion concentrations.

Variation of the Interfacial Area during Co2 Absorption into Alkanolamines Aqueous Solutions in a Bubble Column Reactor

INTRODUCTION Bubble columns are widely used in industrial gas-liquid operations (e.g. gas-liquid reactions, fermentations) in chemical and biochemical processes industries, due to their simple construction, low operating cost and high-energy efficiency. In all these processes, gas hold-up and bubble size are important design parameters since they define the gasliquid interfacial area available ...

Calorimetric Measurements of CO2 Absorption into Aqueous -Methyldiethanolamine Solutions

A reaction calorimeter was used to study the rate and heat effects during CO2 absorption into aqueous solutions of N-methyldiethanolamine (MDEA). The experiments were carried out at constant pressure of 0.1 MPa and 0.3 MPa over a range of temperature from 293 K to 333 K. The amine content changed from 10 to 30 mass %. The experimental equipment and procedure were described with the emphasis on ...

Correlation and Prediction of Solubility of CO2 in Amine Aqueous Solutions

The solubility of CO2 in the primary, secondary, tertiary and sterically hindered amine aqueous solutions at various conditions was studied. In the present work, the Modified Kent-Eisenberg (M-KE), the Extended Debye-Hückel (E-DH) and the Pitzer models were employed to study the solubility of CO2 in amine aqueous solutions. Two explicit equations are presented to evalu...

Absorption of copper (Cu2+) and nickel (Ni2+) from aqueous solutions by volcanic ash soil

Introduction: Natural volcanic ash soil is one of minerals whose major contents are metal oxides. In this study absorption of copper (Cu2+) and nickel (Ni2+) on natural volcanic ash soil has been investigated at 27±1c as a function of PH, metal concentration, contact time and the amount of sorbet, using batch experiments. Methods: The necessary samples of natural volcanic ashes were collected...
